AIFA Credit Repair: AI bulk disputes to whitewash credit reports, no delivery after payment
The main victims are young American office workers eager to take out loans to buy cars or homes or apply for credit cards but with delinquent records, as well as new immigrants who are non-native English speakers and unfamiliar with the local credit dispute process. They often panic after being denied loans due to a single short-term delinquency, mistakenly believe they cannot resolve it themselves, and trust that AI can bypass manual review to submit disputes in bulk. Such people usually have a strong willingness to pay but insufficient understanding of the credit system, are easily moved by 'success story screenshots' and a 'technical expert persona,' and overlook the basic fact that credit repair in the U.S. cannot legally delete true negative records through disputes.

骗局怎么运作
- Place social media ads to drive traffic, using keywords such as 'AI Credit Repair' and 'bulk deletion of delinquencies' to reach users with credit anxiety; the ads are often accompanied by before-and-after screenshots automatically generated by generative AI. In their pitch, they claim to have an internal algorithm that can analyze formatting flaws in credit reports and file bulk disputes with the three major credit bureaus.
- During the sales stage, they induce users to first pay a startup fee of several hundred dollars, then promise unlimited disputes after a monthly subscription. After actually collecting payment, they only provide a fill-in template or a simple web form; the so-called AI disputes are nothing more than using ChatGPT to rewrite fixed English templates, with no actual credit repair capability.
- They claim they will submit dispute letters in bulk in the user's name to credit agencies such as Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, but many agencies never receive properly formatted disputes, or the disputes are deemed repetitive or malicious. Some intermediaries simply submit nothing at all and just let users wait out the 45-day statutory processing period.
- If users press for progress, they continue charging on the grounds that 'the credit bureau has not responded' or 'the service needs to be upgraded.' When the period ends, no negative records have been deleted; instead, users may fall deeper into debt because of the high service fees they paid.
- When users ask for a refund, customer service refuses with excuses such as 'the service has been triggered' or 'the algorithm has already incurred costs,' or simply disappears. Some victims only discover after exposing it on social media that the same type of scam has been reported by many others.
红旗信号(看到这些快跑)
- 🚩 Promising to delete true delinquency, bankruptcy, or foreclosure records 100% or quickly, whereas U.S. credit agencies will only legally correct information when it is genuinely inaccurate.
- 🚩 Claiming to have exclusive generative AI that can file bulk disputes, yet not showing any compliance documents or regulatory filing information.
- 🚩 Requiring a high startup fee or long-term subscription before the service begins, while refusing to provide a written contract and refund policy.
- 🚩 Using before-and-after screenshots, video testimonials, and similar materials for marketing, yet unable to provide verifiable real customer cases or public complaint records.
- 🚩 Customer service frequently uses phrases such as 'internal channel' and 'algorithm intervention in the credit bureau system,' implying special relationships to bypass normal procedures.

- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has repeatedly sued credit repair companies. For example, in a lawsuit against a credit repair company in the early 2020s, it was accused of collecting illegal advance fees under the guise of AI-automated services; consumers paid thousands of dollars but did not get negative records deleted.
- In February 2026, CCTV reporters exposed the gray industry chain of 'credit repair': intermediaries use forged evidence and malicious disputes, claiming that delinquent records can be repaired for just a few thousand yuan, at most 10,000 yuan, while in reality they just delay and continue charging. How to Protect Yourself
- ✅ Directly check through official channels such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to confirm whether a credit repair company has ever been sued, and do not readily trust success stories on social media.
- ✅ Remember that individuals can submit disputes to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion for free, without needing any AI agency service.
- ✅ Refuse any credit repair service that requires full prepayment or a long-term subscription, and be especially wary of vague charges such as 'AI technology fee' and 'system access fee.'
- ✅ If you have already paid a large amount for the service and cannot get a refund, keep chat records and transfer receipts and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission or your state attorney general's office.
