The primary victims are the silver-haired generation, especially those over 70 living alone or alienated from their children. They typically lack digital literacy, are highly sensitive to health information, and yearn for "smart" care. Fraudsters exploit their loneliness and panic over illness, pretending to provide AI health monitoring, medicine delivery, pension fund appreciation, and other services, inducing victims to transfer money or provide bank card information.
骗局怎么运作
- The fraud gang first pushes so-called AI health consultant service links through social platforms, text messages, or phone calls. The page uses AI-generated real-person avatars and text in a gentle tone, claiming to monitor elderly health data in real time and provide early warnings for major diseases.
- After clicking, victims enter a simulated official website displaying AI doctor video explanations and forged images citing real hospital names and qualification certificates, further enhancing credibility, and guiding seniors to fill in personal information and social security card numbers.
- Subsequently, customer service (often AI-synthesized voice or a real person posing) demands that victims pay small fees such as "health assessment fees" or "fund activation fees" under the pretext that "high-risk diseases have been detected, and a special pension fund appreciation plan needs to be opened immediately." Payment methods are limited to WeChat, Alipay, or bank transfers.
- After the victim pays, fraudsters continue to demand more fees under excuses such as "under review" or "data pending confirmation," such as "advanced AI diagnosis and treatment packages" or "personal health insurance," and once again conduct emotional kidnapping via phone or video to create a sense of urgency.
- Eventually, victims are coerced into transferring all or most of their pension funds into designated accounts. The fraud syndicate quickly withdraws the funds using multi-tier transfers and overseas money laundering channels. Victims usually only discover the theft after reporting it to the police, making it extremely difficult to recover the stolen money.

How to Protect Yourself
- ✅ Do not casually click on AI health consultant links sent by strangers; always verify institutional qualifications and official customer service numbers.
- ✅ Confirm any health or pension fund services involving upfront payments through legitimate financial institutions or official channels, and never transfer money directly.
- ✅ When encountering relatives asking for help via self-proclaimed AI voice or video, verify their identity through existing telephone or video channels before deciding whether to transfer money.
- ✅ Regularly report personal account changes to children or trusted relatives and friends, establishing a "dual-confirmation" mechanism to prevent being scammed alone.
- ✅ If you suspect you are facing a scam, hang up the call or exit the page immediately, save the chat logs, report the case to the local public security organs and financial regulatory authorities, and organize the other party's account and collection destinations to submit together.
