AI Voice-Changing and Face-Swapping Deepfake Perfect Partner Butchering-Plate Scam

Victims are mostly single men and women aged 20 to 45, with males accounting for over 60%. They commonly share psychological vulnerabilities such as emotional vacuums, narrow social circles, and a long-term lack of intimate companionship. Some middle-aged and elderly groups are also easily misled by the fabricated 'perfect partner' persona due to a lack of understanding of AI technology. Victims gradually lower their guard under the 'illusory illusion of true love' fostered by scammers' long-term PUA psychological manipulation tactics, even taking the initiative to transfer money or tip the counterpart. Some victims remain unwilling to believe that the other person is fictional even after being scammed.

骗局怎么运作

  • Step 1: Material Preparation. The scam syndicate first uses AI face-swapping tools to generate a virtual persona that fits public aesthetic standards, misappropriating or synthesizing identity photos and videos of others as persona materials. At the same time, they record a large number of ordinary human voiceprint samples, using AI voice-changing tools to generate sweet female voices or magnetic male voices matching the persona setting, and prepare the virtual image and audio material libraries required for live broadcasting in advance.
  • Step 2: Account Fan Cultivation. Multiple accounts are registered on short-video and live-streaming platforms, and fans are attracted by publishing meticulously produced short-video content of the 'perfect partner.' The content mostly consists of the virtual persona displaying daily life, fitness, talents, etc., paired with AI-generated audio to create the illusion of 'real existence.' After accumulating a certain follower base, live streaming is launched for traffic conversion.
  • Step 3: Real-time Camouflage. Throughout the live-streaming process, AI real-time voice-changing and face-swapping technology is used to adjust the appearance and voice of the virtual persona in real-time according to viewers' demands and chat content. For instance, if a victim likes a mature executive style, it switches to a mature executive persona; if they like a sweet girl, it switches to a cute sweet girl persona. Personas can even be customized based on the victim's region and preferences to create the exclusivity of an 'exclusive perfect partner.'
  • Step 4: Emotional Induction. During the live stream, victims are psychologically manipulated through PUA tactics. They frequently interact with the victim under the guise of 'romance,' sending AI-generated 'private photos' and 'voice love messages' to gradually cultivate feelings, establish the illusion of a 'romantic relationship,' and make the victim emotionally dependent on the virtual identity.
  • Step 5: Scam Harvesting. After gaining the victim's trust, they induce the victim to transfer money or send tips under pretexts such as 'travel expenses needed to meet in person,' 'family member needs money for medical treatment,' or 'investing together to make money.' Some also induce victims to purchase high-value virtual gifts. Once the victim's transfer amount reaches a certain threshold, the scam syndicate gradually reduces interaction or directly blocks the account and disappears, or continues to induce transfers under pretexts such as 'identity exposure requires handling' or 'funds are frozen and need unfreezing.'

红旗信号(看到这些快跑)

  • 🚩 During the live stream, the counterpart's appearance is overly perfect, occasionally exhibiting AI-generated characteristics such as video lagging and audio-lip synchronization errors
  • 🚩 The counterpart refuses video calls and offline meetings under various pretexts, consistently brushing them off with excuses like 'busy with work' or 'family matters'
  • 🚩 Shortly after meeting, they frequently request small money transfers and tips under the name of 'romance,' subsequently escalating the monetary demands step-by-step
  • 🚩 The counterpart's social media account content is singular, mostly consisting of pre-published 'persona' content with no real-life updates, and their true identity information cannot be traced
  • 🚩 The counterpart frequently uses AI-generated voices and photos, and logical flaws exist in the photo backgrounds and voice content, such as repeated background scenes or events mentioned in the voice conflicting with reality
  • 🚩 The counterpart frequently induces victims to participate in so-called 'investment' or 'task-grinding' rebate activities, claiming it is 'earning bride price money together' or 'for future marriage use'

How to Protect Yourself

  • ✅ During online dating, immediately request the counterpart to conduct real-time video calls to verify their identity. If the counterpart refuses under various pretexts, it can basically be judged as a scam, and the relationship must be terminated immediately
  • ✅ Do not casually transfer money or send tips to online dating partners. Maintain high vigilance against behavior requesting money under the name of 'romance,' and be sure to verify the counterpart's true identity offline when large amounts of funds are involved
  • ✅ Learn basic common sense regarding AI technology and understand common characteristics of AI-generated content, such as video lagging, lip-sync mismatches, and repeated background scenes. Stop communication and report to the platform promptly if anomalies are discovered
  • ✅ If you find yourself scammed, preserve all evidence such as chat logs, transfer records, and live stream recordings at the very first moment, and report the case to public security authorities promptly. Do not conceal the fact of being scammed out of embarrassment so as not to delay the timing of the investigation
