Fake AI Health Repair Device: False claims of thousands of metric detections and disease prediction years in advance, actually ordinary electronic products

The main victims are middle-aged and elderly groups over the age of fifty and their small elderly care institutions. Such groups often suffer from chronic diseases, feel daunted by the difficulty of making appointments and long queues for medical checkups in tertiary hospitals, and desire to master their own health status at low cost; at the same time, they generally lack common sense in medical device registration and cannot distinguish the boundaries between electronic products and medical devices. They naturally trust sales personnel wearing white coats, speaking professional terminology, and playing the banner of charity, and are easily breached in psychological defense by warmth rhetoric such as free experience, expert lectures, and limited-time discounts, paying for equipment and high annual fees under the recommendation of acquaintances and the atmosphere of conformity. After being deceived, due to a sense of shame, they are often unwilling to make a fuss, delaying the timing of rights protection.

骗局怎么运作

  • Step 1 Packaging technology apparel: Name ordinary electronic physiotherapy or massage equipment as AI health repair devices or AI health monitoring devices, claiming on store billboards, promotional brochures, official accounts, and video accounts that they can detect tens of thousands of health indicators, and even claiming to predict diseases one to five years in advance, using terminated or invalid patent certificates as technical endorsements to make ordinary-looking products appear to have medical-grade capabilities.
  • Step 2 Community charity traffic generation: Enter residential areas and elderly care institutions in the name of free health lectures, community charity experiences, and expert free clinics to carry out activities. Staff claim to be health consultants rather than salespeople, first doing so-called AI testing for the elderly for free, and generating a seemingly professional report full of abnormal indicators with the equipment to create health anxiety.
  • Step 3 Intimidation-style conversion: Exaggerate and interpret the report item by item, turning normal aging phenomena into precursors of major diseases, claiming that without equipment intervention it will develop into a serious illness, cooperating with shills making personal testimonies that their indicators returned to normal after use, inducing the elderly to place orders on the spot to buy equipment ranging from thousands to tens of thousands of yuan.
  • Step 4 Binding annual fee harvesting: Charge annual service fees ranging from hundreds to thousands of yuan under the pretext of cloud health records, continuous AI model upgrades, and one-on-one expert interpretation, and promote batch procurement plus annual maintenance plans to elderly care institutions, promising to provide stationed health management services, forming a dual cash flow of equipment payments and annual fees.
  • Step 5 Shrinkage and running away: When complaints increase or they are targeted by regulatory authorities, they stop offline services under the pretext of system upgrades and store relocation, customer service phone numbers become empty numbers, official accounts are deregistered, promised annual service fees are completely interrupted, and equipment hoarded by elderly care institutions degenerates into scrap iron without after-sales service, only to find out when protecting rights that the contract subject is a shell company.

  • 🚩 Claiming that a non-invasive device can detect tens of thousands of health indicators and predict cancer and other major diseases years in advance exceeds the capability boundaries of any formal medical device, belonging to typical pseudo-scientific rhetoric.
  • 🚩 The product cannot produce the medical device registration certificate from the National Medical Products Administration. The body or manual is marked with ordinary electronic product implementation standards, yet it uses prohibited words such as medical-grade and clinical-grade for publicity.
  • 🚩 The so-called patent certificates displayed have long since been terminated or invalid upon inquiry, or the patent content is only appearance design, having nothing to do with the core detection technology promoted.
  • 🚩 Using charity lectures and free physical examinations as a cover to enter communities and elderly care institutions, conducting closed-door brainwashing and limited-time discount sales urging on-site, refusing consumers to take reports home for verification.
  • 🚩 Mandatorily bundling high annual service fees in addition to equipment payments, accepting only cash or requiring transfers to personal accounts, where the contract subject is inconsistent with the actual promoted brand.

How to Protect Yourself

  • ✅ Before purchasing, log into the official website of the National Medical Products Administration to check whether the product holds a medical device registration certificate. Do not purchase any equipment that has no registration information whatsoever yet claims to detect, predict, or treat diseases.
  • ✅ Maintain vigilance against charity lectures and free physical examinations entering communities and elderly care institutions. Abnormal index reports issued on-site can be re-examined and compared by regular hospitals. Do not blindly trust or pay on the spot.
  • ✅ When involving equipment plus annual fee models, require the other party to write service content and interruption compensation clauses into the contract, pay through public accounts and request invoices, and refuse cash and personal transfers.
  • ✅ Elderly care institutions procurement should verify suppliers' medical device business qualifications and after-sales service capabilities, try out in small batches first and agree to pay based on service results, avoiding one-time advance payment of large annual fees.
  • ✅ If fictitious efficacy promotion is discovered, immediately call 12315 to report to market regulatory departments. Suspected fraud cases should be submitted to public security organs along with transfer records and promotional materials, and pay attention to retaining evidence.
