The victims of this scam are mainly ordinary people between 30 and 55 years old, with some savings but lacking the ability to distinguish cutting-edge technology, including some small and micro business owners and retirees. Their psychological weaknesses lie in fear of missing out on the technology dividend and greed; they are often intimidated by high-tech terms such as AI computing power and space development, lack basic technical knowledge, and under the influence of fake screenshots and group members showing off their gains in communities, easily lose independent judgment, even mortgage or borrow to join, and ultimately lose everything.

骗局怎么运作
- Disguised space AI endorsement: The project team claims to rely on a cutting-edge AI-driven space computing power network. By spreading forged space technology white papers and investment return tables in various communities and Telegram groups, and using the hot topic of interstellar exploration to fabricate long-term visions, its pitch claims that 'by participating in the subscription, you can share in the space computing power dividend.' In reality, most of these white papers are AI-generated content with no real underlying technical support, and the purpose is to induce early investors to buy its illegally customized tokens.
- Subscription equals falling into the trap: The project adopts a 'fast-exit' model, requiring investors to directly top up and subscribe through designated non-compliant channels, accompanied by fake real-time trading data displays. It uses the pitch 'buy early, profit early; quota is limited' to create urgency. In fact, as soon as user funds arrive, they are directly transferred to overseas-controlled wallet addresses. The platform has no real fund pool or asset anchoring at all; subscribing means the beginning of falling into a trap where funds are directly swallowed.
- Headcount recruiting with tiered commissions: To achieve rapid viral growth, the project team sets up a multi-level agent rebate mechanism, encouraging early investors to bring in relatives and friends to deposit funds. For each person recruited, they can receive a high invitation reward as a percentage of that person's investment amount. This typical pyramid scheme model makes victims both the defrauded and accomplices and spreaders of the scam, using personal trust to expand the harvesting radius.
- Market manipulation and fake pumping: In the early stage, the project team uses its own funds or directly tampered backend data to artificially create the illusion that token prices are rising continuously, and deploys large numbers of bot accounts in the trading area to create active trading volume. This gives victims the illusion of 'guaranteed profit with no loss' and 'only rising, never falling,' luring them to further add investment or even borrow to join, completely falling into the market maker's controlled investment solicitation trap.
- Shutting down and running away with asset transfers: When the amount of funds raised reaches a preset target or withdrawal pressure sharply increases, the project team suddenly suspends withdrawal channels under reasons such as 'system upgrade,' 'hacker attack,' or 'cooperating with regulators.' It then quickly closes the front-end app, dissolves communities, and clears website data, laundering all involved funds through mixers and transferring them overseas, leaving victims completely wiped out, with even the evidence for tracing fund flows erased.

- 🚩 Claiming to rely on AI space computing power or interstellar projects, but unable to provide any real corporate business registration qualifications, core team identities, or open-source code verification.
- 🚩 Promising fixed daily, monthly, or annual returns far beyond reason, and inducing investors to join by showing precise calculation charts such as payback periods.
- 🚩 Using a multi-level distribution rebate system, relying on recruiting people to develop downlines for high commissions, with a clear community rank promotion system and team-based compensation characteristics.
- 🚩 Deposits can only be made through designated non-compliant channels or shady exchanges provided by the project team, and trading on legitimate mainstream third-party trading platforms is not supported.
- 🚩 The official community is full of fake trading screenshots and paid shill order-faking scripts; administrators immediately mute or kick out investors who ask about fund flows or the logic of underlying assets.

- According to a public notice by Piyao Network, there was once a project named 'Aurora Star' that carried out a fast-exit scam under the packaging of AI computing power, inducing investors to transfer money under the name of subscribing to computing power. - Mr. A in a certain place was lured by short-video traffic and invested 50,000 yuan to buy so-called AI interstellar computing power tokens. Initially, he did receive the claimed daily rebate. Then, under the platform's inducement, he added investment up to 200,000 yuan. Half a month later, the platform refused withdrawals on the grounds of system maintenance. After Mr. A discovered that the official group had been dissolved, he called the police; the funds involved had already been transferred.
- A victim, Mr. A, was introduced by a friend to WeChat groups for space projects such as 'Interstellar Homeland.' Seeing people continuously posting screenshots of that day's returns in the group, driven by greed, he invested 80,000 yuan and even brought relatives into the scheme. In the end, the platform website became inaccessible and the person in charge disappeared, leaving the entire family's savings cleaned out.

Its subordinate Feng County Public Security Bureau arrested 31 members of the 'Interstellar Alliance' criminal gang in Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenzhen, and other places. The gang had recruited members under the guise of selling FIL mining machines and packaging 'distributed storage computing power.' - In 2023, the National Anti-Fraud Center and public security authorities in multiple places issued warnings to be alert to illegal virtual currency financing scams under high-tech names such as 'AI computing power' and 'interstellar storage,' reminding the public not to readily believe high-return promises.
- Piyao Network recently issued a risk warning, clearly stating that 'Aurora Star' is a fast-exit scam under the packaging of AI computing power, reminding the public not to participate in or subscribe to it, and pointing out that it is essentially a Ponzi scheme that robs Peter to pay Paul.
- In September 2021, the People's Bank of China and ten ministries and commissions jointly issued the 'Notice on Further Preventing and Handling the Risks of Virtual Currency Trading Speculation,' clarifying that virtual currency-related business activities are illegal financial activities, and that overseas exchanges providing services to domestic residents through the internet are also illegal financial activities.
How to Protect Yourself
- ✅ When encountering any virtual currency project claiming 'AI space computing power subscription' or 'lunar project investment,' first go to the official website of the National Financial Regulatory Administration or an anti-fraud center platform to verify its issuance qualifications; do not blindly trust white paper packaging.
- ✅ Firmly reject any investment project that requires recruiting people for rebates and promises ultra-high fixed annual returns. Once a project is found to have multi-level rebate characteristics, it is highly likely to be involved in pyramid selling and illegal fundraising.
- ✅ Do not transfer funds to unfamiliar accounts or non-compliant trading platforms, and do not readily believe so-called insider quota or limited-slot urgency pitches. Any project that cannot be found on mainstream compliant financial platforms should be treated with great caution.
- ✅ Download and install the National Anti-Fraud Center app on your phone and enable the incoming call warning function. Once you find people around you promoting such space project tokens, immediately take screenshots to preserve promotional materials and transfer record evidence and report to public security organs.
